POLITICS Rush Limbaugh Says These Trump Statements ‘Have Got to Raise Red Flags’

...The famed radio host said that the attack on Cruz seemed like it was ripped from a page out of the Democratic handbook.

“It doesn’t make a lot of sense,” Limbaugh told his audience about why Trump would use an “establishment” line of attack.

Limbaugh then played audio of Trump criticizing Scalia over his position on affirmative action.

“These are two things that, if you’re a conservative voter in the Republican primary, these two things have gotta raise some red flags for you people, I would think,” he said.

“For any of you who are holding out hope that Trump is a genuine conservative. A genuine conservative, even in the Republican field, would not go after Cruz this way,” Limbaugh later added. “So that just raised a red flag for me, made me somewhat curious.”

Limbaugh said he suspected Trump’s attacks were a result of Cruz surging to first place in recent Iowa polls....

His supporters do not care. I do not think that most of them are smart enough to consider his "former" political opinions. They care only about what he says, not the sheepskin-clad wolf that he is.

I think that this guy is the Republican version of Obama.

Good point.

I've had mixed feelings about Trump all along. On one hand, part of me couldn't help but like the fact that he has been (seemingly) giving the establishment "the finger" so to speak. On the other, his personality is not at all presidential, he is weak on substance, and I don't really think I can trust that he's genuinely changed to being a conservative.

Has Trump ever publicly claimed to be a conservative?

Just curious.

Not that I've seen. Here is what I have seen:

TRUMP: I'm a registered Republican. I'm a pretty conservative guy. I'm somewhat liberal on social issues, especially health care, et cetera, but I'd be leaving another party, and I've been close to that party.

PHILLIPS: Health care?

Mr. TRUMP: The liberal on health care, we have to take care of people that are sick.
PHILLIPS: Universal health coverage?

Mr. TRUMP: I like universal, we have to take care, there's nothing else. What's the country all about if we're not going to take care of our sick.
PHILLIPS: Abortion?

Mr. TRUMP: I hate the concept of abortion. I hate—I hate anything about abortion, and yet, I'm totally for choice. I think you have no alternative too.

Yall aren't treating him nicely. Gonna make him run as an Independent.
Frankly, I think he and Soros made like a $1 bet that he could win the GOP nomination or get more votes than the GOP nominee in the General Election.
Gosh, the man had a show on NBC for goodness sake. How politically conservative do folks think he could of possibly been?

In watching part of the Barbara Walters interview with him, I think we got a glimpse of who he REALLY is when she asked him about his wife. He was very respectful of their relationship and what she thinks. This said to me that Donald was perhaps playing sport and really was a pretty nice guy at heart.

I just remember a lot of the causes that he allowed folks to play for on his show and the brashness really came across as a reality tv act. That's what this feels like.

But then again, he might just be a few cards short of a full deck like the sociopath, Carson.

But we shall see.

I bet he's not far behind Hillary Clinton on that dais at her inauguration.
