yes, a running mate would be good, just remember i want so much liberalism removed for here that when all is said and done that dr bob would be considered the resident liberal once things are cleaned up.

Wanting to be a moderator disqualifies one
    from being a monderator.

"Liberal" is a comparative, not an absolute.
If in May we got rid of the 10% most liberal
on the board; we would have to do it again
in June. But then there would still be
a "10% most liberal" to get rid of in July,
again in Aug, Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec.
Then we could start 2004 getting rid of the
    most liberal 10%.

    Likewise, "Conservative" is a comparative,
not an absolute. I've seen the ONE GROUP of
folks that "took over the Southern Baptist
    Convention" correctly identified
as both "Liberal" and "Conservative". For
For both terms denote directions: from
one group the SBC looks liberal, from the other
    group the SBC looks conservative.

Massdak - you are truly an odd duck. But enjoyed the thread and even voted. Sorry.

Being a Moderator is a greatly reponsible position, given by one person alone, heir webmeister. It is a tough and thankless job. [IMG]

And being an Administrator, with almost godlike power and semi-divine authority, is even greater. And again, only in the perveyance of the Webmaster.

    Could you handle the truth??

As that spiritual giant Jack Nicholson would say You're not man enough to handle the truth . . .

(Thanks for the chuckle. Now I need to go burn Gina at the stake) [IMG]

Dr. Bob is right! I'm the administrator of a Christian Women's board with over 5,000 women. It's a thankless job and the pay is zilch... LOL. [IMG] The pm's and reported posts alone could choke any ISP. But, I've done it for 5 years so it must not be that bad. Syd, are you reading this??? :D

I do believe you meant this as a joke tho and the board needed a chuckle today. Now I have to make another remark incase Peter101 is reading this and might get on to me for having a one sentence paragraph. Oh no, that sentence did not match the other sentence so it wasn't a proper paragraph so now what do I do? Oh... Shut UP! LOL

    God Bless,
    Diane

As your running mate, I promise to rid the bored  of all literals . Why, with me by your side the conspicuous will rise and the literals will fall by the wayside, liberally. I also promise no more mystery meat in the lunch room. [IMG]

    So don't expect any
    thanks from my direction [IMG]

Aren't moderators supposed to be moderate?
As soon as we get rid of all the liberals,
we are going out "shooting" for the moderates. [IMG]

Wow! The biggest problems I had whilst I was a moderator was moderating some fundamentalists...Then, maybe that was because I was a liberal moderate with a sound fundamental background.

Now, should Massdak become a moderator, he would confessedly have the liberal Dr. Bob for a boss.....he is a Board member; an administrator! How ironic would that be?

    Cheers,

    Jim

I would be in great fear and trepidation to offer such a poll about my returning to moderating!! Gasp!!

Oh Jim, Your humility and even temperedness would surely bring a favorable result should a poll of that nature come about. I don't think you would have anything to fear. You are beloved around here more than apparently you are aware.

I am amazed Diane, as moderator of such a large board, you would have time to spend here all day and most nights.

Sherrie, 1063 posts divided by 151 days... means I post an average of 7 posts a day. Others, who joined days before or after me, have 3,000- 4,000 posts!

I think this thread should be transferred to the Humor Forum... however, I am sending it to the Forum for Polls - where it belongs. Have fun! Sorry if I do not consider this a serious thread, for the selection of Moderators for the BB are not chosen this way. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
