Prayers for Memory/Cognitive Issues

I've recently spent some time getting electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)--also known as electroshock, and I'm now in the process of recovering. My last treatment was a week ago today.

ECT can cause some memory and cognitive issues, particularly around the time of treatment, so I need prayers that I can recover quickly and that I can (hopefully) get my thought processes back to normal.

Oh, and also pray that things can normalize at my job. We are in the middle of implementing a new system, which is difficult enough, and my memory issues are adding to the problems. It's hard for me to retain new information right now, so learning new processes is more challenging than usual. Also, the amnesia has wiped out a decent chunk of the system knowledge I had prior to the treatments.

So, basically, I've forgotten most of what I've learned, and learning it again is more difficult than it used to be.

Ugh, I know that pain. We're coming close to 2 years since we switched information systems, and it's still jacked up.

While I haven't been through shock, my stroke slowed my memory; I've found Ginko Biloba more effective and less costly than Prevegan. Of course check with your doctor. Prayerfully - Charles
