At some point his time will be up and medical intervention will not be of any use. He will eventually decide that he has had enough of this mess down here and move on just like we all must do some day.
After having medical problems for awhile like Mr. Bush, my Dad at the age of 90 got pneumonia and said that's it. From that point on there was no more treatments, he stopped all his medications, we called the hospice people in, and in 5 days Dad slipped the bonds of this world for something better.
