Has there been overreach in some cases? Yes. Laws that have done so should be struck down.

But same-sex marriage does not infringe on another person's religious beliefs. Someone may not like it, but that doesn't mean that the U.S. Constitution allows for that belief to be codified into law or state-level constitutions.

 

Making excuses for homosexual unions is not becoming of a Christian. If you defend it, you are as guilty of their sin as they are.

 

The same logic applies to remarriage after divorce.

 

Uh no, that would be a misunderstanding of scripture.

 

The sanctity of marriage is the foundation for a civil and stable society. We cannot have a civil and stable society without it. We cannot excuse same sex marriages and think that it does not effect the whole of our communities. It, in fact, tears our communities apart. The reason God established the biblical marriage is to build these stable communities.

Comparing same sex marriage and remarriage is apples and refrigerators. Just because they both deal with marriage does not make them equal comparisons.

 

We cannot have a civil and stable society without it? Wow, and I thought liberals were supposed to be the snowflakes. Tears our communities apart? Goodness gracious how dramatic. None of this is true.

Why aren't they equal comparisons? Because a lot of Christians tolerate remarriage while we turn a blind eye?

End of story. God doesn't teach moral relativism.

 

Also just because one believes we should have certain laws on the books based on biblical principles does not mean we advocate for a theocracy, This country, its constitution, and our original laws were based on biblical principles. We want to stick to that format and never once was it considered a "theocracy".

 

So you want a theocracy but it's important that we not call it one. Lol.

 

Then you want theocracy. Just admit it.
