Yes it does appear that he has prophesied falsely on many occassions. It is a sad thing though that people see what these type of people do and then tar all Pentecostals with the same brush, but that is human nature. I think that if a person does prophecy and it is proven false then he ought to be excommunicated from the fellowship. Not only has he given false information, but by acting as though he is speaking Gods revelation word, he is actually blaspheming, and blasphemy is something that churches need to get some backbone about and deal with.

It is a brave man who tells a pious prophet in the face he's false!

Now what would you brave folk do when such holy men as being the very elect translators of the Scriptures - of 'God's Word' - act as though they are speaking God's revelation-Word, while he is actually blaspheming? Blasphemy is saying 'Thus speaketh the LORD', while the LORD has NEVER, 'thus spoken'!
Or do you think our 'translators' would never "think to change" "one tittle or iota" of the Word of God, what whole words and phrases and every grammatical and syntactical factor so as to obey the so-called principle of 'cultural historic interpretation' of the Scriptures?

 

The point of this thread is the false prophet who has a terrible track record.

 

These learned men have a track record - it follows them with every modern 'Version' / 'Bible' / 'Translation', and "terrible" is the word to describe it!

 

What's the saying, "every now and then a blind prophet -I mean squirrel - finds a nut"?

 

I think that if someone has prophecied falsely and it is proven so, the elders of the church need to be challenged to disfellowship him, and should he attempt to join another church or go independant, appropriate churches and ministries should be informed. Otherwise we are allowing wolves to ravage the flock.

The man quoted has more false prophecies than ones that have "come true." He is a false prophet.

 

I beg to differ with you.
Wheither you like him or not or even believe in modern day Prophets or not :
The man has an interesting track record that cannot be ignored.
We are to Judge prophecy ( according to the Word of God) but to despise prophecy is to not obey the Word of God.

 

How about proving your point.
1.Tell us about the false prophecies.
2.Number them and tell us about the true prophecies and 3.

we can count and see if you are correct in your accusation!

National Geographic also "prophecied" this storm. Does that make them a prophet?

Again, when the Ark of the Covenant is revealed in Baton Rouge I will consider the prophecy.

I do not know What you mean by the ARk of the Covenant in Baton Rouge but I will research it.

Is it possible for a prophet to use figurative language? I think the old Testament Prophets were known to do that.

Is it just me, or did this false prophet miss part of the prophecy that included God's judgement on Mississippi and Alabama?
