Protests In Moscow

From a friend who lives in Moscow. He poses a good question.

Yesterday it was a rally against Putin and his policy. About 50 000 people here in Moscow participated in it so it became the largest anti-governmental rally since 2010. I wonder why so many western news agencies like Gardian, BBC, CNN simply ignored this event. Not a line. What might it mean? It is not in their scenario?

Huffington Post, the Washington Post, Yahoo News and ABC have reports, but why not the others? Maybe they will report today. A person would think that Fox and the conservative press would be all over this, but .......... so what is a person to think? Why does the liberal press report on this, but not others?

Maybe it's because they're trying to create the narrative that Putin is some kind of new Hitler figure with all of Russia behind him.

Why is the western press so eager to use extremely biased "rebel" sources in places such as Libya and Syria? Why would Fox News source a Sunni Muslim anti Assad blogger over and over again that's on the payroll of the EU that calls himself the "Syrian Observatory For Human Rights" and keep leading us to believe he's some kind of sprawling global "pro democracy" operation with thousands of unbiased sources inside Syria?

Answer, to create a narrative that would compel the American people to consent to another economic/military intervention that would benefit only the corporate elite.

Why was the "liberal" media such a big cheerleader for invading Iraq?

Answer, because it's the government's job to tell us lies, it's the corporate media's job to keep repeating them ad infinitum as if they were true.

Maybe because we've all heard this same old song and dance over and over and over again only to find out later on down the road the people that were singing it the loudest were flat out wrong, or lying to us.
