You are conflating what God desires, what God allows and what God causes. They are not the same thing. Read Romans 1:18-32, did God fail to reveal himself to the reprobate, or did God merely choose to give them over to their corrupt desires?

Although I admitted in my response that the answer is more complex than a simple "yes" or "no" because what God WANTS is a complex issue ... our good and His Glory. Achieving what God wants involves the crucifixion of an innocent man by a rebellious creation to redeem from them a people that God loves more than His own life.

 

Define "control".

Did God prevent Adam and Eve from disobeying His command? No.
Could God have prevented Adam and Eve from eating the fruit? Yes.
Can fallen men live a sinless life? No.
Could God have created people capable of living a sinless life? Unanswerable: requires omniscience.
