    I was talking with one of my TULIP friends at church and he was telling me that this PreTrib Rapture theory was never spoken of before about 1850. And this is one reason he believes it is incorrect.

    What do you guys know about it's orgin, as far as a theory being taught from the scriptures.

    According to Wiki this was "developed and popularized by , John Nelson Darby (Plymouth Brethren ) in the 1830's.

    Of course, the Apostle Paul spoke of it in I Thessalonians

    Before this Darby fellow then, what was preached about the Rapture? Is there anything on this?
