What I hear is Reagan playing on fear of things that could happen while Barack is giving hope to people wanting to hear solutions in troubled times.

I will have to go back and count the number of times Reagan used the word socialism and compare that to the scares from the right in the last election through today. I'm starting to see where that message began... I thought it was McCarthy.

 

That was a closer visual of this last election. People asked themselves that question and answered at the polls.

 

It's really pretty simple.

Reagan believed in Americans.

Obama doesn't.

Reagan believed the lie of trickle down economics. The funny thing is that, after this has been proven to be a dismal failure, many right-winger's still hold on to it like a religious doctrine.

I lived through this time and am in no hurry to repeat this dead end path.

 

Good point however, I trust government more than I do corporations.

If anything liberals believe in tickle up economics... They believe in putting dollars in the pockets of those at the bottom which will flow up to the top as they spend and consume. That is the concept behind this stimulus bill to include cutting working class taxes.
