    The wife and I moved "home" just over three years ago, after 20+ years in Arlington, VA, where there was a significant bubble even then. Down here in Southwest Virginia, it is still possible to buy a decent house for under 100K. Prices have gone up here some but not like other places.

    Oh, and I can breathe here. Significant value to that.

    Prices here for single family homes have skyrocketed - to the point where I don't know how young couples will be able to buy a home anymore. The only way to find anything affordable is to move way out (meaning a long commute) or try to find a major fixer-upper.

    Thankfully, we bought 10+ years ago; otherwise, we wouldn't be able to afford to live in our town.
