Dear Pastor,
The response to this pandemic has been anything but normal. However, as we get to the other side of this thing, I just can’t bring myself to use the phrase, “ A new normal.” Maybe I’m just a bit too ANTI-political correctness. But at least I’m honest.
I KNOW for a fact that people are READY to get back to NORMAL, as I see it. “Social Distancing” has been mandated, but it sure isn’t biblical. Everything I read in the Bible talks about being together. As a small example:
Hebrews 10:2 - “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together…”
Matthew 18:20 - “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
As individual states begin to open back up and you are planning how to get your people back “INTO” church, I would love for you to please consider something:
My NEW BACK TO NORMAL Comedy Concert for local churches. People are ready to GET OUT, ready to LAUGH, ready to WORSHIP, ready for HOPE, and ready for the WORD!
Sure we’ve been doing some of that virtually and online or in parking lots. But, as you know, it’s just not the same as being IN church!
Just the other day I finally was able to get a haircut after two months! CLICK HERE to watch a short 45 second video I did about that. During quarantine, my friend MARK LOWRY, (formerly of the Gaither Vocal Band), interviewed me for his online show. You can watch that HERE.
I know everyone is feeling the financial pinch as well. It’s stretching everyone thin.
That is why I’m asking you, that IF YOU WILL book a date in OCT/NOV/DEC of this year, I’ll bring the BACK TO NORMAL Comedy Concert Tour to your church for a LOVE OFFERING. All I ask is that you cover my travel expenses and put me and my wife up in a “fairly” decent hotel.
If you normally don’t receive love offerings for people, then that is ok too. We can discuss a fair flat fee, if you prefer. I’m good either way. My desire is for this event to be a blessing you and your people! I believe it will be an ideal event and an ideal time to get new people in the church who otherwise may not attend.
