    Since I've been sick, I've actually WATCHED the series.

    After blowing a great chance in Game One, I think St Louis just "mailed in" the rest of the series.

    Games 3-4 at home were pathetic. Kudos to the BoSox, even though on paper they were still far below a number of other teams.

    I refuse to say "Just wait til next year". That would make me sound just like a cubbies fan. I refuse to sound like a cubbies fan.

    Instead I'll say Congrats to the Red Sox. They beat my CARDINALSs fair and square. I gotta agre with Dr. Bob about how the CARDINALS played the series.

    Wow!! Even some of us here can't believe it yet. It probably won't sink in until next week. Now the Patriots!! I don't know if my heart will stand another season. I'm pulling the plug on my TV. There's a line 4 blocks long at the moment trying to buy souvenirs at Fenway Park!The big parade will probably be Saturday.

    I've rooted for the Red Sox since I knew what baseball was. I called my best friend since 8th grade and fellow citizen of Red Sox Nation, now a pastor in California, and he asked this question:

    "What do we do now?"

    I don't know, but it sure feels good!

    What a wonderful illustration of perseverance.
