    IMPO (In my Puritan Opinon), The only man a church should be named in Honor of is Jesus of Nazereth. Secondly, are you really suggesting that you would attend a church name Santa Clause Baptist?? I'd quess they'd call the Preacher "Reverend" there. gagagagag (best Popeye voice)

    It is interesting to watch the results of the poll so far.

    It's a real shot of reality to see that those that say they are celebrating the birth of Christ and not Modern day Coca Cola Red Coated Sleigh Ridin Santa would not be in support of a week or so without the "commercialization" attached to truly celebrate via worship the birth of the Saviour.

    I guess my next poll will be if you voted No on this poll, to a such a period set apart, solely for celebration of Jesus' birth by singing and worship; WHY? but, we all know why now don't we. ;)

    There's a Santa Claus United Methodist Church in Santa Claus Indiana. Couldn't find a listing for a Santa Claus Baptist however. :laugh:

    Do you figure you will gain God's favor by changing the date Christians celebrate the saviors birth?

    That would have been Rosh Hashana (Jewish new year) this year, so that's not gonna work.

    Why not, Most of Jewish heritage don't accept Jesus as the Christ. I don't see a problem.

    The list to arrive soon. But the number has been bartered down to 10. But wouldn't 1 reason not to blend the celebration of Christ' birth with Elves and reindeer games be enough?

    yep, the world in which we live is mostly spectator.. Jesus walked the earth and the records add up only about 250 or so that "followed" to the end. Most followed for the food and miracles.:laugh:

    Not at all. The obvious point in taking a poll is to see which box each person is in. I wanted to see the content of the both boxes.

    Many say they are celebrating Christ birth and not Santa Clause. So why would any God fearing, Christ honoring disciple object to separating the two when the one takes attention away from Christ. Obviously they are diametrically opposed. The logical fix is to move one or the other.

    ITL would settle for 10. Not I. You said 95. I want you to provide the 95 that you said that you would.

    I think that you are painted into a corner and trying to argue and insult your way out.


    If you are counting that as number one, then chapter/verse please. After all, you did say Biblical reasons in your OP.
