Hi. I have an aunt who recently died while in her second marriage. She was 38 and remarried after divorce. Some people say to me she was an adulterer and in Hell right now. Are they correct?

Ummm - no. They're wrong. If she were not saved by the blood of the Lamb, then yes, she's in hell. If she were saved, then she's not.

She was Christian. But some say she wasn't a real one because she was an adulterer.

Perfect example why weak minded people shouldn't try to be Bible Scholars. The only way she isn't in Heaven is if she didn't have Christ as her Savior.

Those people have no business saying such a thing, it's cruel. This adultery business can't keep her from going to heaven if she is a believer.

Edited to say- Amen JerryL :)

    Heaven help us all.

If she truly professed Jesus Christ as her Saviour, then she is in heaven.

You may want to remind them about judging...

trybugle. You've got two posts. Did you come to the Baptist Board to just ask us about this?

Do you have other questions you need help with if this is bothering you?

    1. Unless God has handed over His judgment seat to such people, they are not correct.

    2. According to mcdirector, the geniuneness of her profession of faith in Christ has sealed her for eternity in Christ.

Uh, what other sins are out there that Jesus failed to atone for on the cross?

I have this scenario in my mind. A repentant sinner, let's say an adulterer, pleads for mercy, invoking the shed blood of Jesus. Jesus replies "Oops, missed that one."

==I think the answers already given are good enough, so I will not say much more. If your aunt was a follower of Jesus Christ, her sins were forgiven and she is with Him right now (Heb 10:14, Jn 17:24).
