Yesterday, we in America honored our living veterans. But let us pause and remember our Commonwealth and French brethren who commemorated those who gave their last full measure for their countries.

My father-in-law served in the US Air Force for 21 years.

I served in the US Army for 7 years active and 18 years in the Reserve/ARNG.

My son-in-law served 25 years in the Air Force.

My 17 year old grandson has been nominated for an appointment to the US Air Force Academy.

My wife is a military daughter. A military wife. A military mother. And a soon to be military grandmother. She deserves a medal!

Our daughter is a military grand-daughter, a military daughter, a military wife, and a soon to be military mother. She deserves a medal too!

My late father (pictured) and his two brothers all served in WW2. Though born in Canada, they came here to America to serve in the American armed forces because they had dual citizenship. They had cousins in Canada though who served in the Canadian forces. I myself am a USAF veteran, having served during the 1970's. May God bless all the veterans who have served.
