Considering it's Alabama, would the situation be any different if the people involved were Democrats?
Hypothetically who knows? Maybe yes. Maybe no.
But in this case it is not hypothetical. It is rather amazing that three folks with this type of trouble and reputation are involved in such a case.

My question comes from the fact that the ruling establishment only changed parties not personnel.
