    It's different than poultry, but similar. Recall this article on Steve Sailors sight about fruit pickers and a reported shortage of illegal workers needed. Seems the farmers are doing well. THey had a record profit. Farmers want cheap labor. I think too I've read of our generous welfare programs keeps citizens from working in the fields. Why pick fruit or work in chicken plants when you can receive a check from the government?
