Request for my wife

    We are praying for your wife

    and that the money needed will be supplied.
    Phil.4:19 says "But my God will supply ALL of your need...
    We are praying for a miracle of healing for your wife and
    a financial miracle too.Thanks for your up-dates Tim.

    I have been in quite prayer for you, the family and wife. If it is His will the money will be supplied or the doctors heart will again change or the wife will be cured with no visible earthly procedure. For His name sake, this will come together for the good.

    I have also been adding a special prayer for your strength. Leading a flock with so many home situations I know the load get heavy at times. The face of faith is at times missing in your private mirror. My prayer is that you can let go and let God because we know He is able.

    I speak now because it is crunch time. The moment of truth. I pray the Lord gives you the patience to wait on him and stay firm on the truth He is never late...

    Thanks guys!

    She went last Monday and had her biopsies done, and as of right now her surgery is scheduled for Aug 15th...
    Which gives us some extra time.

    We had enough to pay 1/2 of the downpayment last Monday, so we paid it...
    The second 1/2 of the downpayment is due the day of her surgery...
    It is $450.... And as of right now, I can earmark some coming money ($200) for it, so I only have to come up with $250.

    Then pay payments of $100 a month for 18 months....

    God will supply it in one way or another...


    Oh, and thanks Lebuic for the extra prayers... I am feeling the pressures of being in the ministry right now...

    Thank God I will be going back home for a vacation next week!

    I just have to survive VBS this week!

    Tim, here's a very practical solution for you, that works well with thousands of senior pastors, and their survival of VBS. I'll spell it out, step-by-step:
    1. Become affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. This will make your folks angry, and could cost you your job, but it that happens, then you don't have VBS to deal with. :D
    2. Schedule VBS in June, during the SBC annual convention meeting.
    3. Attend said meeting. You should arrive a couple of weeks early so you can "prayer walk" the entire perimeter of, say, Indianapolis. This also gives you ample time to witness to the waitstaff of all the area restaurants.
    4. To maintain your Godly image, you should spend much time in prayer for the VBS going on as you "conventionize." I would suggest spending at least three to five minutes praying for the poor souls that are stuck at....er, praying for the precious folk doing VBS.
    5. When you get back to church, openly gush about how rested and rejuvenated you are. Then, preach on profanity, and how it's inappropriate for children's workers to use it when referring to the pastor.
    (This was written with slight autobiographical leanings, from years ago. I had a pastor that "somehow" always "accidentally" ended up scheduling SBC and VBS together.

    In addition, this was written with tongue firmly planted in cheek. If you have no sense of humor, then run along--we'll be right behind you.)

    :laugh: LOve it!! OUr annual convention is in Oct! During Bow hunting season!
    This may be an idea to bring up to our convention!!!

    Of course, it would interfer with pastor's vacations!
    I am just too dumb to schedule vacation at the time of VBS!

    When I was a youth pastor, it always seemed I would plan events the same day as our anniversary or my wife's birthday...
    It got so bad, that the pastor jokinly wanted to know all the important dates in my family so he could make out the church calandar!!!

    One yr, we took the youth shopping and out to eat at an Hibachi Japanese restauant on our anniversary!
    The next yr, we were at a theme park on my wife's birthday...

    Can you believe someone once called me cheap?!!!:laugh:

    I wanted to bring this back up to the top because her day is nearing... Aug. 15th.. and she is becoming nervous.
    Also, we are still short on money for the surgery... ($250)
    If I can't come up with it by the 15th, she will have to reschedule.

    Please keep us in prayer. We have tried to cut back as much as possible, but everytime we cut an expense, and unexpected expense arises!

    :praying: " The Lord owns the cattle on a thousand hills,......and I know that He cares for me". We need to pray that one of those cattle is sold to meet your needs. Praying for your wife and her complete healing too.

    Yes, she is having it done... I got an advance to be able to get it done... thanks for your prayer support.
    Because the Drs' Office is 80 miles from home, and because she has to take a pill Thursday night that starts contractions, we are going to stay at a hotel near the Dr's Office Thursday night.

    Please keep her in your prayers still, Pray that the procedure works.

    We're back, it was not as bad as she expected, it didn't hurt as bad either...
    She has to rest this weekend.. .which means I am Mr. Mom... lol
