Tuesday was my last day in uniform after 22 years in the AF. I officially become a veteran 28 Jan 09.

I will always continue to pray and appreciate the men and women in uniform.

I plan on staying here in the San Antonio area so if there are any on here with connections to jobs let me know.

    God Bless and Merry CHRISTmas!

PS: I guess I now need to change my user name on here since the AF will be no more.

Congratulations! I hope you have a long and wonderful retirement.

Take it easy as you adjust to retirement. You will go through a number of stages before you settle into being retired.

It was interesting watching myself as I went through the first year of being retired.

    Keep a journal.

Congrats...... Retired myself from the NAVY in 1993 after 26 years. Was blessed to work another 14 years as a rural mail carrier in HOMETOWN, Texas, USA. Don't think there is anything to require you to change the user name..... that will be your personal preference. Welcome to civilian life...hope it is as kind to you as it has been to me. Good luck in the job market. My best advice is to find something you really enjoy doing and do it for love of doing it and not just for the PAY..........

Thank you very much for your service.

22 years, you could be as young as 40, or so.....

    Anyways, enjoy it.

So you are going to start saluting the mailbox once a month now:wavey:

I would like you to consider joinng the Texas State Guard. This is a State only force - as opposed to the Texas National Guard

Just remember we re tyre the motorcar to go another 100,000 kms. It does not mean to park somewhere and do nothing.

    Cheers, and salutes to you,

    Jim

    Congratulations on your retirement.

Consider the Border Patrol ? You're near the border, anyway.

Congrats AF guy. I passed my retirement date for the federal government last August, but have yet to act on it. With 35 years, I cannot figure out what I am waiting on, but as of yet, have not left.

God bless you on your future jobs and service to Him.
