RICH AND POOR
James 2.5-7
5. Listen my beloved brethren, did not GOD choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the Kingdom, which He promised to those who love Him? (1Corinthians 2.9) (James 2.5) (John 14.23) (Luke 6.35) (Isaiah 64.4) (Psalm 91.14-16). KSB
James condemned rich not because they are rich but because the majority of the rich live only for material wealth and not rich in their morals, in their conscience, and in the Principals and Ideals of GOD. Indeed, the Lord in His search of righteous among peoples chose mostly the poor people of the world to be His disciples, followers, children, and heirs of His Kingdom. Majority of the poor have nothing on this Earth and nothing to live for, except their GOD and His Kingdom. (Matthew 5.3, 18.4, 19.23-24, 21.43) (Luke 6.20)
Luke 12.34
34.For, where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Proverbs 23.4-5) (Matthew 6.19-21) (Mark 10.21) (Luke 12.33-34, 18.22) (1Timothy 6.6-19) (Hebrews 13.5) (James 5.1-6)
Perhaps the best example of it we can find in the story of Abraham, Lazarus, and a rich man (Luke 16.19-23).
Luke 18.24-25
24.Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the Kingdom of GOD.
25.Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than to someone who is rich to enter the Kingdom of GOD.”
Philippians 3.20
20.Our Citizenship is in Heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Rich build their homes and their wealth here on Earth and forgot that they will not live forever (Leviticus 25.23).
Poor have no permanent homes, no permanent properties or permanent wealth stored, they rent and spent their money on shelter and food, they are temporary here and wait for their GOD and His Kingdom to come on Earth in which they will be the permanent residents forever Nobody will abuse them anymore and drag them to court (6) or evict them for the lack of money to pay rent.
Rich already receive their temporary goodness and pleasure here on Earth and their life will be also temporary just like their wealth, they all will perish together. But the rich who attach themselves to GOD and not to their wealth will live forever and will never perish, because Spiritual Wealth does not decay and last forever, and so will last forever and its owner.
LAW OF MOSES AND LIBERTY
James 2.10-12
If one Commandment of the Law is violated, a person became guilty against entire Law. This applies not only to the Law of Moses concerning Ritualistic Commandments, but this is also applies and to the Spiritual Commandments of the Law when we sin in our heart.
Jesus Christ raised the Spiritual Qualities very high and announced:
Matthew 5.27-28
27. "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery,' (Exodus 20.14) (Deuteronomy 5.18).
28. but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart."
This means that a person not only violate entire Law by committing physical adultery but even looking at a person with lust he or she already commits Spiritual adultery in their hearts and violate the entire Law, Physical and Spiritual.
Under Law of Liberty (12) that liberated us from the physical Rituals and Customs of the Law of Moses, James meant the Spiritual Laws and Commandments of the Law of Moses that Jesus Christ introduced in His Gospel.
So, in this sense we are liberated from one part of the physical Ritualistic Law but still obligated with the Spiritual Part of the same Law, and will be hold accountable for our behavior before Jesus Christ according to our heart desires.
