Regardless, I'm sure many will excuse his actions and continue to support his radio program.

No need to excuse any actions. He didnt do anything wrong, illegal, or inappropriate.

Sure he is, for 18 months starting April 2006. He also paid a $30,000 fine. (linkie).
Actually, it's kind of illegal to be carrying prescription drugs under someone else's name. He may be excused for it.

As for inappropriate, I suppose that depends on how you view non-marital sex - some will excuse it in him and some will not.

There is no evidence of non-marital sex. Pure conjecture. It is legal to carry a prescription in another name so long as it is well documented by his physician. And it is not probation. Probation means being monitered by a probation officer on a monthly basis and reporting on your activites. The agreement between the prosecutor and Limbaugh is not that. He has no probation officer to report to.

I think Rush Limbaugh is a ticking time-bomb who will eventually embarass the conservatives who support him. Rush, an unmarried man (twice or thrice divorced--sorry I've lost count), in possession of Viagra that is suspiciously obtained? Nothing good is going on here!

I sometimes agree with Rush and sometimes I dont. His sensationalistic build up of himself for the purposes of entertainment get on my nerves. So I dont have any real special effection for him. But what is being done to him by the prosecutor in Palm Beach county is an abuse of power.

His pills were not obtained suspiciously. And libs bash him but look over the clear suspicious activities of the kennedys, Clintons, and Kerry.

Um, you do know what the prescription is for don't you? Are you claiming that Limbaugh is married?

It may be conjecture, but it is very well-founded.

That's the big if, isn't it?

Didn't bother to read the linkie, eh?
What makes you think that he does NOT have to report to a probation officer?

Is it possible to discuss Rush Limbaugh without bring into the conversation the Kennedys, Clintons, or Kerry? I don't remember anyone here saying anything that would excuse anything they have done in the past, nor do I see how what they have done has any bearing with what Rush is doing.

Although he may not be on probation, one question I would like you to address is what do you think he needed Viagra for, unless it was for the purposes of having sex with someone he is not married to. Also, I understand that in the Dominican Republic, it is easy to buy the services of a girl 14 or 15 years old. BTW, how old was Monica Lewinsky when she was with Bill Clinton?

It is common practice for a doctor to perscribe viagara to himself, and give it to his patient, for privacy purposes. It's not illegal.

Leaving the country while on probation is.

Then give me another possible reason for Rush to take Viagra to the Dominican Republic.

Oh, and it's Rush Limbaugh who should be ashamed, not me. I simply offered a reasonable explanation for the circumstances Limbaugh created. I did not say that he was doing anything illegal, I just offered what I think is a reasonable explanation.

I firmly agree with RevMitchell. This is a clear abuse of power. It apears to be a witchhunt against Rush. Therefore, he shouldn't be in trouble at all. No one should have their personal, private, intimate medical records obtained illegally

Drugs can be for many uses, not just the known "approved" uses. His doctor could have perscribed it for something else. Not to start a thread here, but some people can easily do "that" without lustful thoughts in just a quick few minutes. The idea of someone breaking the law to obtain your medical records for the purpose of using them against you is the greater concern.

Sorry I was referring to the earlier incident of him having his medical records obtained illegally. That appeared to be a witchhunt. I understand Rush is not on probation but will be in deep trouble if he is arrested in the next 18 months because they will prosecute him on a charge of doctor shopping. How silly, you can be arrested and found not guilty so that doesn't seem a fair condition regarding anything.

I'm just dying laughing at the idea that some believe that Rush isn't using Viagra for sex!

Plea bargains and conditional dismissals are probably more common than not. He wasn't found not guilty; he wasn't tried at all. He and the prosecutor made a deal.

    I know.

Yes. People seem to forget (or be ignorant of) the fact that this is only illegal for certain drugs.

And speculating that he went to the DR to get little girls would be like speculating that someone went to Oregon to have sex with an animal. (Officials busted a bestiality group there a few months back in which many people went there to participate.) But, the professional gossips are already dropping this idea, and in short order, this will be "known fact" that is supressed, and all part of the activities of the Trilateral Commission and the Chi-Coms and the Illuminati who are trying to take over the world and suppressing the "truth". (Until there is hard evidence of such, this is called "gossip".)

Frankly, who cares what Rush Limbaugh does, says, or takes. It is the attention that he gets from discussions like this that keep his name in front of the media. If people would ignore him, stop listening to his show, and not care what happens to him, he would fade away.
