No one is saved by getting God's attention. God is all-knowing. He knows who believers in Him and who the superficial lip service folks are.

Scripture says God credits our faith in Christ or not. Beware of those who deny God credits our faith, and instead claims God instills our faith.

Scripture says we are saved by grace through faith, thus we are saved by the faith God credits as righteousness. See Romans 4:2-5 and Romans 4:23-24. Beware of those who teach salvation through credited faith is a works based salvation.

To be saved through faith means we had faith before salvation, thus faith before regeneration. Regeneration only occurs when God baptizes us spiritually into Christ and we arise in Christ a new creation. Thus we are born anew in Christ, and made alive together with Christ.
