Sarah Palin Comes Out Guns Blazing

Are y'all going to read the book?

In pre-released snippets of their Monday interview, Sarah Palin tells Oprah Winfrey that she doesn't like drama, but she's stirring up plenty in the media blitz before the release of her memoir "Going Rogue" next week. Alaska's ex-governor is promoting her book and settling some old scores with everyone from John McCain's campaign aides (Palin accuses them of forcing her to pay for her own vetting) to NBC's Katie Couric, whom she calls ""badgering" and biased. Pundits are reveling in the melodrama as Palin goes on the war path. Here's who's on the hit list---

I hope her book sales well so she will not run for the Republican nomination in 2012. Her candidacy would divide the Republican party in a very devastating way. She would lose a national election against Obama. Therefore a good number of Republicans will probably oppose her nomination. However there will probably be enough pro-Palin folks in the party to make her a contender for the Republican nomination.

Personally, I would not vote for Sarah Palin if she was the last Republican on the planet. If she wins the Republican nomination I will vote for a third party candidate. IMO, Palin is one of the most obviously fake politicians to hit the scene in recent memory. I refuse to be sucked in by her show.

Having said that, I'm not sure there is a Republican I would vote for right now. Huckabee is nice, but he is too much of a big government conservative for my taste. I could vote for him, but only time will tell. I'm not much of a fan of Mitt Romney either. I'll probably vote third party in 2012, but its far too early to tell for sure right now.

If it's lying around somewhere and I have an hour or two to kill, I might read it. I have a voracious reading appetite but have a "to read" list a mile long for various obligations. I don't have a lot of time for extraneous reading. But I'm fortunate that my "to read" list contains a lot I enjoy: economics, decision sciences, theology, homiletics, etc.

I digress....Like I said, if it's lying around and I have nothing else around to read, I probably would.

It'd be interesting just to see why she titled it so.

Even so it probably won't be on my reading list.
So many books, so little time :tongue3:

There are no doubt criticisms you could make about Sarah Palin, but fake is not one of them. What you see is what you get, and there is no nuance or shading. Remember that Democratic senator's son who cracked her email password and went searching for dirt? Nothing. She is what she is.

It's supposedly taken from what some in the McCain campaign said about her.. They were to have called her "rogue"

Deacon, in the publishing world, rare is the author that gets to select their own title. This is often an editor's call. A work will often go through mutliple titles before press.
