    bapmom, John R. Rice believed long tracts were better since they can explain the Gospel in detail. That is why his famous "What Must I Do to Be Saved?" is 23 pages long, though pocket sized like any other tract. This long tract is one of the most used tracts in history, having had printed about 40 million copies in 39 languages, with many 10s of 1000s saved through it.
