    This research suggests that homosexuality in flies has a genetic component but refutes the idea that it is only genetic. In other words, the saying that "they are born that way" is not the only explanation, at least for flies.

    There may be similar mechanisms in humans but there may not be and looking at simpler organisms helps leads to clues on how to determine such things in more complex organisms.

    Whether or not homosexuality is genetic or not says nothing about its morality. A genetic predisposition to any sin (gluttony, lust, murder, theft, etc) does not make it moral or immoral.
