Joy to the World is a Second Coming song (not a Christmas song).

If this doesn't light your fire,
your wood is DONE WET :-(

    These are They (Rev= 7:14)
    by a young (with hair) David Phelps;
backed by the Gaither Vocal Band
backed by the Gaither homecoming crew
    from Israel.

First thing that happens after the Lord Comes the Second
time to get His own, and we, the true global church of the Living Messiah
    appear in heaven.

Correct if one realizes that 'ready' here is not in self-sufficient goodness (dirty rags) but in the righetousness of Messiah Yeshua.

    A loaf of bread would
    buy a bag of gold.

what a powerful summary of the third horseman of the Apocalypse:

Rev 6:5-6 (Geneva Bible, 1599 Edition):
And when hee had opened the thirde seale, I heard the thirde beast say, Come and see: Then I behelde, and loe, a blacke horse, and he that sate on him, had balances in his hand.
6 And I heard a voice in the mids of the foure beastes say, A measure of wheate for a penie, and three measures of barly for a peny, and oyle, and wine hurt thou not.

A day's wages to feed your family or feed your livestock (I.e. you have to decide between today & tomorrow). Forget about anything but the basics of life. Here 'penny' is NOT a small worthless coin, but the translation of a Greek copper coin which was a day's wage for a common laborer when the original book of Revelation was written.

Also: 'beast' is a translation of 'zoa', a living creature NOT an evil creature.
These words change over time, you know. This wonderful phrase in that song speaks of a 'loaf of bread' buying a 'bag of Gold'. You know that is backwards - you buy stuff with Gold (formerly called 'money'). But when the Third Horseman of Revelation rides, runaway inflation will be so bad and food so little - indeed if one has a spare loaf of bread, they can buy a whole bag of gold with it.

This song is a Biblically sound song favoring the Futuristic viewpoint of Scripture, the Pre-millennial ( Second Coming of Jesus before the Millennial Messanaic Kingdom Jesus) viewpoint, and the pre-tribulation (Jesus comes to get His own BEFORE the Tribulation Period (Judgement of the spoilers and defiled /i.e. NOT IN CHRIST/ of the earth AND save all Living Jews) viewpoint.

Even, so -- COME OH LORD ('maranatha' 1 Cor 16:22 KJV)

Probably 5K or 6K of my posts on this Baptist Board show clearly that the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial, futurist view is correct  Being a Batist, I reserve always your right to be wrong :sleeping_2: as often as you wish, and in as much detail as you wish.

May all God's best blessings be unto Sibling Historyb, their family, and thier ministries :saint: Amen & Amen.

I'm looking for a video of
"Signs of the times are everywhere
There is a brand new feeling in the air
Keep your eyes upon the Easter Skys
    Lift up your head,
    Your redemption draweth nigh.

Here is the lyrics I found at:

    http://cloud9lyrics.com/436/redemption-draweth-nigh/

Years of time have come and gone
Since I first heard it told
How jesus would come again someday
If back then it seemed so real
Then I just can’t help but feel
How much closer His coming is today

Signs of the times are everywhere
There’s a brand new feeling in the air
Keep your eyes upon the eastern sky
    Lift up your head
    Redemption draweth nigh

War and strife on every hand
    And violence fills our land
Still, some people doubt He’ll come again
But the Word of God is true
    He’ll redeem His chosen few
    So don’t lose hope
For soon Christ Jesus will descend

The quartet we are in is singing this one Sunday morning:
The Next Time He Comes ( (C) LANE)

Vs 1: From the lofty courts of Heaven came a bud on earth to bloom - knowing when He left His Father that His fate would be the tomb - but the grave it could not hold Him - angels rolled the stone away - now the mighty Rose of Sharon is still blooming yet today.

VS 2: I remember when I met Him how the Spirit took control - He established all my goings now He stars in my life's roll - for a King to come from heaven knowing then of Calvary - oh what love beyond all measure that He’d give His life for me.

Chorus: But the next time He comes He won’t have to die for me - the next time He comes there won’t be a Calvary - the next time He comes we’ll begin eternity - for when He comes again, He’ll be coming for me.
