Secular scientists admit we are at the center of the universe

Video has NOTHING to do with inferred meaning of the thread title. There are no preferred locations or directions in this universe. Every location can be/is the physical center of this universe.

Scientists have confirmed that if you sail too far out to sea, you will fall off the edge of the earth.

Please cite the source of your statement. The scientist and experiment conducted whereby this person(s) "confirmed" this statement.

Maybe you were momentarily confused in the excitement and meant that ancient scientists had hypothesized a person could/would fall off the edge of the earth since they could 'never' confirm this assumption.

However, it is granted that this was the common view.

>How can earth be the center of the universe when it is not the center of our galaxy?

Einstein demonstrated that there is no preferred location in the universe.

When solving problems involving such things they choose a location for the center (of whatever) that gives the easiest solution. For example, it is mathematically possible to calculate the orbits of the planets by assuming that everything rotates around the earth but it is a zillion times easier to do the math if one assumes the sun is the center. During the Inquisition several astronomers avoided trouble by "confessing" the earth was the center but used the sun as the center because it was easier - the Inquisition bought their confession.

I find your lack of faith disturbing.:saint:

There is nothing to be disturbed about. I believe God created the universe out of nothing. I believe later he renewed our solar system and prepared it for man. If I'm wrong and God indeed created the entire universe in six twenty-four hour days, I won't be disappointed. But, I won't simply say what other want to hear.
