Iraqis are not the only shoe throwers, an ultimate sign of contempt for the Iraqis. For about 8 years people on this Forum, who call themselves Christians, have been throwing shoes at fellow Christian, President Bush!:tear: :tear:

Remember, political dissent is the hallmark of a free society. OldReg, do you have shoes to toss at the our new President?

For the past six weeks people in this forum, who call themselves Christians, have been throwing shoes at a fellow Christian, President-elect Obama.

And before anyone starts saying, "Obama is not a Christian", we all know that the case for or against George Walker Bush being a Christian is basically the same as the case for or against Barack Hussein Obama being a Christian.

The bottom line is that a bunch of Christians in this forum have been treating Barack H. Obama no better than they accuse another bunch of Christians of treating George W. Bush.

So it looks like we get 7 years and 46 weeks left to throw shoes at Obama.

    There is one major difference:

Bush is against the murder of unborn children.

Obama favors the murder of unborn children.

The question that must be answered is: Will one who has been redeemed by the blood of Christ favor the murder of unborn children?

So because you and I disagree with Barack about the issue of abortion you think that it is okay for you, a Christian, to throw shoes at him?

Yes, there are faithful Christians who support abortion to some degree or other.

Also, there are some Christians who believe in killing men, women and children of all ages. It is called an unwarranted war in Iraq.

So, frankly, I would step down from the self-righteous stool before it tips and does a mischief.

    Cheers,

    Jim

By christian you mean those "christians" that believe Christ is not the only way, right? Yup, many different paths and ways to "the almighty". I'm going to start throwing shoes at christians who can't recognize another christian!

Crabtownboy, this thread made me chuckle a little at your sig line.

Politicians are fair game for skepticism and even scrutiny. I suppose it's up to the agenda of the person who is scrutinizing as to if that person warrants a thrown shoe. I'm not really for throwing shoes, ya know, glass houses and all that...

I did not vote for President-elect Obama, but he will have my respect for his office. I will not agree with him on everything, but I may agree on some. I don't agree with the current administration on everything, though I do agree on some. I think that would hold true for any politician. I was not thrilled with the choice of John McCain. While I have a great deal of admiration for him as an individual, his flip-flop ideals had me less than enthused.

If I do throw a *shoe*, it will not be because I am a Republican and he is a Democrat. He would have to really do something horrible for me to do so, because the shoe throwing, in my mind, would be out of contempt or hate. I hold neither feeling for the President-elect.

With all that in mind, I will have my eyes on Israel. If he goes against them, Spinach's shoes may come out of the closet.

    You really think so???
I've been of the impression that for about the last 6 months Christians in this forum have been using Obama as an excuse to throw shoes at each other, including this veiled statement of yours. barefooting must be fun!

We won't be standing before God with our pastor. He is accountable for the false gospel he believes in. It is a reprobate message. If he dies continuing to believe such tripe, he will spend eternity separated from God. From his own words, he is as much of a christian as Oprah.
