    Part 6:

Should every Christian be fully committed to stating Truth?

Should every Christian love and cherish his or her fellow siblings in Christ?

Should every Christian be a bible student, rightly dividing the word of truth?

The Bible does not teach or even support Young Earth Creationism. It teaches we do not know exactly how God created the earth. Those saying it must be thus and so, are not helping evangelism. Maybe God created with apparent age, like the wine at Cana. We do not know.

I’m more concerned about where I’m going—the future, not the past. I’ll learn the prehistory details in Heaven.

    Respectfully, you are wrong.

the old earth THEORY leaves the door open for the heretical falsehood known as "evolution", and tries to force a GAP of time, millions or billions or trillions of years old, between Genesis 1:1, and 1:2. This is not even possible as the Hebrew construction of these verses is against this, as is the Teachings of the rest of the Bible!

We are living in a time when many Christians are even deceived by the so called "science" of sinful, fallen, fallible humans, who suppose that they know more than the God of the Bible. There are many who are supposedly "Evangelical Orthodox Christians", who also accept that God did not Create the Universe as described in Genesis 1:1, literally, but some how "used" an "evolutionary" process to do so. These Christians are trying to harmonize what the Bible Teaches on Creatio ex nihilo, with human "science", which mainly reject the Creation Account in Genesis 1, and elsewhere in the Bible.

We are living in a time when many Christians…
…are making black and white statements about something that very little is written about in Scripture.

The creation account in Genesis only contains 34 verses. Even adding all the other mentions of creation in the Bible there is a broad range of the unknown which we may speculate about.

With certainty, you know very little about those you speak so vehemently about. Your distain of “science” and those who work with it to advance knowledge is wearisome.

    Blurb from internet:

The age of Earth is estimated to be 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years (4.54 × 109 years ± 1%).[1][2][3][4] This age may represent the age of Earth's accretion, or core formation, or of the material from which Earth formed.[2] This dating is based on evidence from radiometric age-dating of meteorite[5] material and is consistent with the radiometric ages of the oldest-known terrestrial material[6] and lunar samples.[7]

The fly in the buttermilk is that we do not know whether our radiometric dating reflects the age of the material in the pre-solar nebula or the age of the material since the Earth's accretion.

Basically both sides of this argument hinders Christ's ministry, and diverts people into quibbling over things they do not know.

I like FACTS and NOT FAIRY TALES!!!

Just look at the "sciences" that is used for dating the age of the earth. I will give just three

    1. radiometric dating, which is FLAWED!

    2. carbon 14 dating, which is FLAWED!

    2. uranium dating, which is also FLAWED!

    then we have;

    4. methods used to measure the speed of light, are also FLAWED!

I can go on and on and on...

Just Google these and you will see that even non Christian scientific bodies admitting to the FACT, that these and other HUMAN methods, and VERY MUCH FLAWED!!!

the Infallible, Inerrant, Word of God is PERFECT in what it Teaches!

If you and others want to be FOOLED by the RUBBISH that our so called "experts" tell us, when they say one day that something is very safe, and then the next, that it is not, etc, then please continue to buy into the LIES that the devil is feeding the world, sadly many "Christians" as well, who have too much belief in FALLIBLE, ERRANT "science" that is the work of SINFUL, WICKED humans!

I have a flawed tool at home. I just can’t get it to drive a nail in straight.

    upload_2024-6-14_17-47-3.jpeg
The secret to any tools is knowing when and how to use it.
Use it inappropriately and it won’t do its job.
If you understand how to use it and know its limitations it will perform well.

When setting up a study, a set of procedures needs to be followed to insure accurate results.
When a test result falls out of its expected range the test needs to be examined for errors and possible contamination.
Fortunately with dating various materials there are often many different ways to determine age.
Recognize also, the results have a built in error factor.

Creation Science groups are notorious for picking and choosing their results…and burying past embarrassing statements.

(have you re-read “The Genesis Flood” recently?

Look, I've been a Baptist for decades.
I understand that Old Earth Creationists are a rarity among conservative Baptists.
Every church I've ever joined (#2) has positioned itself in the YE Creationist position.
That being said, the OE Creationist position is defensible and doesn't compromise any necessary doctrinal position.

Many OE Creationists have developed the ability to quietly tolerate the constant badgering of YE Creationists (sometimes I can too).
I understand that from a babe you have been taught that Noah rode a baby brontosaurus into the ark.
It's hard to change. It's hard to see things from another perspective. It can be threatening to one's faith.
    But it's possible.
Keep an open mind and turn your eyes away from YE creationist web sites.
