Should this Police LT been suspended

    Yes, of course.

    It undermines faith in law enforcement when officers break the same set of rules they are expected to enforce.

    No one is perfect. I don't necessarily want to see someone who has invested decades of their life into a job in the hopes of recieving a future retirement raked over the coals, and to lose everything they worked for.

    But, a hard line of some sort has to be drawn. When law enforcement officers do this, it endangers all officers.
    I don't want him to lose EVERYTHING.........decades worth of retirement etc.... but, those decisions do have consequences.

    The reason this matters, is because undermining law enforcement makes the job of other officers more dangerous. Public faith in law enforcement is critical to maintain. Harsh penalties for law enforcement officers who break the law, is necessary.
