Simple MP3 Voice recorder

    I need a simple MP3 voice recording software program (preferably shareware or freeware). Audacity....well, looks nice, but too much for what I need it for. I just need something simple. Couldn't get Audacity to work.

    Any experience?

    Sorry but DH uses Audacity for our messages and such. But then again, he was a pioneer in the digital audio industry so he knows too much about all that stuff. LOL He's not home now but I can try to ask him later what he'd suggest.

    Vista has a recorder in Accessories and runs in my mind xp did also - you might check.

    I need something a little more powerful than what's with XP. I need something to go for around 15 minutes and create an MP3
