    Bach wrote this music about Matthew 25 and the Blessed Hope. As you know, the 10 virgins fell asleep awaiting the Bridegroom and were awakened by the midnight cry.

    However, the music was so beautiful that it has been played for centuries as a Christmas Advent hymn.
