I always heard that Harry Truman was a Southern Baptist.

    Hello, Matt!

I have to agree with Steven2006 and JustPassingThru that a mormon should never be President.

These people make up a rich and powerful cult that believes that a good mormon will become a god in the next life and be put in charge of his own planet to be peopled by a marriage that they think is for time and eternity.

Right now the mormons control the Democrat Party in the US Senate through majority leader Harry Reid of Nevada. On the Republican side of the aisle, they have Orin Hatch, Senator from Utah, and now this other Romney, a relative of the former Governor of Michigan and head of American Motors I believe.

Under Ike, they had Ezra Taft Benson as Secretary of Agriculture and Benson later became President (and prophet) of the mormon church--the point, Matt and everyone else, is that the mormons have sought the highest reaches of power for many years. I think that the Udalls were mormon also.

I just could not vote for a full-blown cultist for president and I would vote for Hillary if the GOP nominated Romney in an effort to clean up the GOP by throwing them out of office. I realize that Hillary is a cultist in the sense that she is a theological modernist in all likelihood, but I would select the lesser anti-Christ.

I had my fill of cults and cult theology since Jim Jones, who got his start here in Indianapolis.

I wouldn't vote for him. He does not pass my religious test for public office.
