Why, oh why, is General McEnerny on Fox News Channel showing detailed maps of how an air attack on Iran would be conducted by our (or coalition) bombers, complete with number of aircraft needed to do the job. What is wrong with this picture? Is it just me?

I think in this case, he wasn't showing anything that was of private or secret information. Everything he talked about was probably publicly known, though we lay people might not necessarily have a comprehension for it. It might seem to us simpletons that it's privileged info, when in fact it's nothing others haven't already considered or known about.

    Just my $.02.

I even watched some Fox news last night. The force of the propaganda nearly popped my eyes out. Anyone still have doubts that the neocons intended to bomb Iran all along?

It's just speculation on General McEnerny's part. I doubt he said anything that the Iranians haven't already thought about. The Iranian military defenses are not the weaklings that Iraq's were.

It's more than just the neocons, poncho. There a lot more war fever than just among neocons.

And it's a shame that some conservative Christians are being sucked into it - again. :(

I'm pretty sure that the Iranians know about globalsecurity.org LE, they give out all kinds of information on our military, movements, troop strength, weapons systems etc.

You're probably right Ken. Goes to show how effective propaganda really is. I saw them screaming at each other last night on Fox. It wasn't about attacking or not attacking it was about the best way to attack these "crazies". All that and no one has proof that Iran even has a nuke yet. That isn't top secret anyway.

I guess you must have been pretty bored, after the NFL playoffs, to watch Fox News.

But, what should be done about Iran ? Ignore it ? Nuke em ? Let Israel worry about it ?

War is a tad more serious than football Bro Curtis. At least to my way of thinking.

Right now we should all concentrate really really hard on the Iranian crazies so we won't be concentrating on killing Pakistani civilians, wire tapping, government corruption and so on.

I'd say we're witnessing a massive attempt at misdirection from the neocons and the corporate media that they control. We've seen this before.

That's true, but there is no shortage of armchair quarterbacks for either.

There's no shortage of screaming meme's on the news calling for scalps either Johnv. It's obvious that the neocons are in trouble with the law and wish to turn our attention away from their misdeeds and onto something else. What better way than to drop some bombs and open a new front in the "war on terror"?

In other words, you have no idea..."concentrate really really hard" sounds like the way they tried to stop the rain at Woodstock '69. How'd that work ?

Really, without the paranoid rants, what should be done about Iran ?

You know Bro Curtis I respect you and have no problem calling you brother, but I don't really care to be talked down too like I'm some kind of child. You have no idea what my ideas are, don't you think at least some evidence of Iran actually breaking the NPT would be in order before we start dropping bombs and forging a coalition between Iran Irag and every other muslim country in the world?

But didn't you condescendingly tell me football and war are different ?

Now I don't need an inbalanced, staged debate on FAUX News to tell me Iran is a threat. Mark my words, we will be forced to deal with them, sooner or later.

I wasn't being condescending at least I wasn't trying to be. War is more important than football. So far I've seen no evidence that Iran is not living up to it's treaty obligations. But I see the talking heads leading us into another war reguardless. Let's see some evidence that these people actually have a program to build a bomb.

All I see is more propaganda, it would be different to see a real debate instead of fear mongering and manipulation of opinion from such a corrupt government as we have here. We can't even seem to clean our house and make it secure how can we expect to "make the world safe for democracy" when we can't concentrate for any more than a news cycle?

It doesn't matter anyway. The plan has always been to gain control of Eurasia. The elite have already said in their books and papers, so it isn't any secret the "war on terror" is a cover for control of the people and resources in that area. I get tired of being lied too. Don't you?

I get tired of the constant calls of "death to America". I want it stopped, and I want the people who say it dead. I want the world's leaders who let it happen ousted. It's real threats, poncho, not popoganda.

Yeah I know the threats are real Bro Curtis I don't dispute that. Maybe it's like Ron Paul says. It's our interventionist policy that ticks them off. I wouldn't allow someone to barge into my house and tell me how to live either.

I know, I'm an evil isolationist because I believe that there are other ways to deal with people than forcing my beliefs and ideals on them and threating to bomb them if they don't comply. And yeah, I know that's what muslims want to do to us, but that doesn't mean we have to help them recruit crazed people for their cause by acting the same as the terrorists.

What beliefs are we forcing on people ? That they deserve to choose their own leaders ? That they deserve to live ? That women have the right to vote ? That they shouldn't have to live in fear ?

I'm not surprised since it turns out that we had no proof of WMDs when we invaded Iraq and didn't find any proof once we were there.

I am so glad that I am not falling for the same trick again from the Bush administration. As the old saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

Is Iran a sovereign nation or what? Do they have elections? Who are we to tell them who their leaders should be? Isn't that what we are telling the whole world, that if we don't like or agree with their "regime" we're going to change it? What gives us the right??

The whole world is aware of the corruption and deceit in our government, who is going to be in charge of sanctions? The same crooks as before, others just like them?

The answer to these problems doesn't always have to come from destroying another country just to prove how righteous we are to ourselves.

We have criminals running our country, I say we need a regime change!!! Get rid of the multinational corporations and globalists that have been writting policy for us. This is our country Bro Curtis it doesn't belong to the CFR, Trilaterals, Skull and Bones pirates Wal Mart, big pharma, or anyone else that isn't going to protect and defend the constitution. But rather play on our fears so they can enrich themselves. That's what this is all about. And it makes me sick to be a witness to it.

I'm glad you aren't falling for it again also Ken. [IMG] BTW, Ken. These orders come down from higher positions than Bush, he is just a figurehead. Someone to praise if if things "go right" and condemn if things "go wrong". The real culprits that are in control and run "things" hide behind him like a bunch of spinless cowards!!!

My apologies LadyEagle for hijacking the thread. I'm going to go check out the Fox propaganda channel to see when we start the first bombing runs.
