One of the funniest things I've heard is a the Kyrie Eleison opening of a musical piece by P. D. Q. Bach. (If you're not familiar with P. D. Q. you're really missing something.) They sing it in pig latin Latin. The choir sings "yrie-kay, yrie-kay, yrie-kay, leison-eay!"

PDQ is one of my all-time musical heroes! He's done some of the best stuff ever re-written.

    rlvaughn,

I'm curious about a couple of things.

    1) what do you believe?

    2) whatcha gonna do with the data? (the real stuff, not the bologna.)

The proper pig-latin would be oink-yay and eelsquay.

    rlvaughn,
Is it actually speaking in another tongue or is it that all others present here you speaking in there own tounge. Sort of like a universal translator. As I remember it the people heard them speak in there own tongues. And the way it's described the disciples didn't go around to each person individually.

I would recommend this be moved to the humor thread....

....just as soon as someone says something funny.

That raise the question: If this is what constitutes "tongues", then why instruct that people speak in tongues only if there is an interpreter?

You got it brother -- y'all come on down (or over as the case may be!). We'll make them taters with real butter and the ice cream will be homemade!

BUT I do insist that the dinner conversation IS understandable by one and all ;)
