    I agree with Jamie.
    Wrestling is not a sin.
Christian CCM is not a sin. Dance is not a sin.
Too many legalists call things sin that are not.
If people are being saved PRAISE GOD!

Churches are dying because they are failing to be relevant. Just because it is your opinion does not make it right.

What does the Bible say? Show me where wrestling is a sin. If not, then it cannot be put in the category as other sins.

You say you have 2 teens. Wow.
Maybe if you added youth night and became relevant to this generation you would save some teens from hell!
I sure wouldn't be content with 2 teens.

The reason we don't have but two teens is because the two we have do not believe the lies of the mainstream churches that think they have to live like the world to win people to Christ.

I say if it takes the worldly trash to attract people to come to your church, then your church is not preaching the full counsel of God. If my church started playing the Rock music, and offering the world, I daresay the doors would be closed and I would be painting Ichabod over them.

It is churches that are so liberal with their views, bringing the world into their worship, ordaining homosexuals, walking hand in hand with the things that God abhors, that will hear those sad words 'Depart from me, ye that do work iniquity. I never knew you'

I don't know the size of your church, so maybe 2 is an ok, or even a good number, but considering the "average" size of even a smaller church, I don't think 2 is a good goal to shoot for.

But how many teens you have is really neither or there. The fact that these guys are bring people to Christ is a wonderful thing.

Also, I think you have venture off the path here. No one, even me has said to bring this to your church, but to go out in the public, and use this as a ministry, and then get people to church is a good thing.

You are talking like, everyone that has agreed with this has said that should be brought into church. That isn't so, but to go out and get their minds thinking about Christ so they will come to church, well that is a totally different thing than you have painted here.

Again, this is really Off-Topic. No one here has said that we should Ordain Homosexuals and such. You seem to want to lump everything into one nice package and if it doesn't happen to fit what you're into now, or were raised as, then you think it's wrong.

Well, I am afraid to tell you that many many people worship God and I can gurantee you all of them don't worship exactly the same as you, but they are still worshiping Christ, and believing in Christ, and know who their Savior is.

You always seem to paint a very Black or White picture and it's not always Black and White..

[IMG] After reading all this... I have to put my 2¢ in. I have noticed that it seems many Christians nowdays are mixing the world into their efforts to save the lost. We don't need the world mixed in. We need good old-fashioned preaching on Hell and preaching on sin like Charles Spurgeon, DL Moddy, R.A. Torrey, Billy Sunday, and others did during the time they was alive. I say stop inviting the world to help you reach the lost and start asking the Holy Spirit to help you win the lost.

Okay, I have to add my two yen worth, too. I have to say that I like the way these guys are trying to witness for Christ a lot better than I like the way most Christians DON'T try to witness for Christ!

I've done a few martial arts evangelistic demonstrations in my day, and saw folks saved and lives changed through them. And no one ever showed me Scripture that I shouldn't, anymore than they did to say we shouldn't use microphones, videos, Sunday School or VBS (all are extra-biblical, but not unbiblical). My martial art skills are just a tool to witness for Christ, not something worldly.

Hmm, is that 3 yen worth? ;)

    Jamie,

With all due respect, I have visited many churches as a retired pastor. I have seen the deterioration of God's laws in the church. In the last 40 years, the churches have brought the world in them.

There is no scripture where man is told to be a part of the world, nor to bring the world's values into the sanctuary. I have said it before, and I will say it again... God's house is supposed to be a house of prayer, not a social club or entertainment hall.

My sister and nephew go to a church where they have choreographed dances in the santuary, rock and roll music as well. Also, in the fellowship hall they have DDR available for the youth.

That is not feeding the soul, it is feeding the flesh. We are seeing a great falling away from the faith in these last days when man is calling good evil, and evil good.

Be not deceived, God is not mocked. When you sow to the flesh, you reap corruption.

    </font>[/QUOTE]good post.
I used to go to a church that taught that soundtracks were evil. They thought that it was bringing the world into church.

If we are to keep everything that is of the world out of a church service, then really what would our services look like?
I agree to keeping sin out. But make sure the Bible calls it a sin and not just your opinion.
And like jamie says, this thread is not talking about bringing anything in the church, it is talking about evangelizing.

What about chalk artists. Did your church have a Christmas play? Plays were considered evil 1000 yrs ago. what about musical instruments? like a piano? Justin Martyr called musical instruments evil. What about a new years eve service? isn't that worldly?

It just makes me angry that some will equate their opinions with the Word of God.

Where the Bible is silent, we should be too.
Praise God they are winning souls from Hell.

Show me from the Bible where wrestling is a sin, and that God abhors it.
And there will be legalists that hear God say "depart" also. For Legalism is rooted in pride and Pride is sin. You see there is no difference between someone saying "look what I do" and "look what I don't do" Both are looking at themselves and not focused on Christ.
If the ones wrestling are focused on Christ, and they present the Gospel message, then they are doing good.

BTW, why would YOU write Ichabod over your door?
