Obama will sign an executive order saying no funds can be used for abortion.

It was expected. Stupak is a democrat and sellouts are the nature of the beast.

Problems: Any Executive order signed by the liar -in-chief can be rescended by same liar. Trusting Obama , with his record, is extremely risky.

It's a shell game. The executive order will not do what the liar-in-chief says. Paying money out of two accounts that get their money from the same source. is a shell game.

Yes, Stupak and the other pro-life Dems are crazy if they go for this, Obama himself could very likely rescend his own executive order. He will surely be pressured by the pro-abortion crowd who voted for him.

The bill requires that people who want to buy abortion coverage pay with a separate check into a separate account which contains no federal money.

Oh . . . and Stupak didn't sell out. He was bought and paid for by virtue of his party affiliation.

. . . but, that being said, the Dems have the best congressmen that money can buy.

Like all "pro-life" Democrats - he says "I'm pro-life" while casting a vote that will insure even more abortions.

Really then why are pro abortion Demcoms up in arms about the executive order promised by Obama?

. . . if he issues it at all.

My point exactly. Stupak is taking a very big risk here. I'm certain he has been bought out. What did the "Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase" use to say? Everyone has a price. Time will tell what Stupak's price was.

I heard one of the talking heads on Fox say that the Pres. can't enact a executive order against a passed congressional bill? Anyone else hear this? If this is true why wouldn't have Stupak and the others known about it.

Legislation takes precedence over executive orders. The President does not have the Constitutional authority to arbitrarily over rule legislation.

Stupak either sold out or is the dumbest member in Congress.

I believe he sold out.

Schlafly: Health Care Vote Set to Expose the Myth of the 'Pro-Life Democrat'

Sun Mar 21, 5:58 pm ET

WASHINGTON, March 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Phyllis Schlafly, president and founder of the conservative grassroots public policy organization Eagle Forum, made the following remarks after the public announcement that formerly pro-life Democrat Bart Stupak (D-MI) will cast a "yes" vote for the Senate health care bill today in the House:
"It is naive for any elected official, especially one who describes himself as 'pro-life,' to expect that a promise to issue an Executive Order that reasserts the intentions of the Hyde Amendment will be fulfilled by the most pro-abortion president to ever sit in the White House. Perhaps Mr. Stupak and his fellow pro-life Democrats forget that President Obama's first Executive Order was the repeal of the Mexico City Policy to allow for international funding of abortion."

"Not only would an Executive Order be rendered meaningless in the face of Congress passing legislation which actively provides for the massive expansion and funding of abortion services, but anyone who doubts the abortion tsunami which awaits this bill becoming law lives in a fantasy world."

"Barack Obama has lined every existing federal agency with the most dedicated pro-abortion ideologues, and we know that he will continue this pattern of pro-abortion appointments when it comes time for him to fill the over-100 bureaucracies created to administer his socialized health care program."

"Any formerly pro-life Democrat who casts a 'Yes' vote for this Senate health care bill tonight will be forever remembered as being among the deciding votes which facilitated the largest expansion of abortion services since Roe v. Wade."

"Mr. Stupak and his Democrat followers have now clarified that you cannot be pro-life and be a Democrat. If abortion was truly their biggest issue, they wouldn't willfully align themselves with the Party of Death."

"This vote will expose the myth of the 'pro-life Democrat.' With this single vote, the Democratic Party will divide our nation into the Party of Death and the Party of Life, and future elections will never be the same.

Like I said. A shell game.

I'll use a story to try to explain it to you. Let's say there's a little kid who wants a Dixie Chicks album. This kid's mommy and daddy each have separate bank accounts, as well as a joint bank account. Each week, his mommy and daddy give him a $5 allowance out of their joint funds. The kid was going to save up his money until he has enough to buy it. However, his mommy hates the Dixie Chicks and doesn't want her money being used to buy an album from them, but Daddy loves them and wants to help his son buy it. So, each week Daddy gives him an extra dollar to buy the album out of his individual bank account. Daddy tells the kid to put the money into a special piggy bank with none of Mommy's money in it. When the kid has enough money to buy the album, he buys it. None of Mommy's money was used in the purchase of the Dixie Chicks album.

Do you think of the government as your mommy or your daddy?

In your example the daddy is teaching his kids to be deceitful and dishonest.

You are rationalizing.

Will the aborted children be any less dead with this accounting gimmick?

Stupak is a piece of scum...and so are the other "pro-life democrats" who voted for this socialistic takeover.

I'm as angry and disgusted with our elected prostitutes as I've ever been.

I hope Alabama sues the federal government over this. I also hope we flatly turn down all help from Washington.

Those congressmen who voted for this plan are at the very least, stupid beyond description. At the worst, they are evil, anti-American, vote-buying prostitutes.
