Survey points to strong marraiges among churchgoers

Could be, but I have known a lot of couple in churches I have belonged to, that appeared to have great marriages; yet they ended up divorced. People will do what people will do.

 

You're saying that living a Christian life has no effect on the strength of one's committment to their marriage?

Do you believe that being a Christian has the same non effect in other areas of ones life?

If so, your brand of Christianity is strange indeed.

 

If people are committed to living the christian life, then they will, I believe , have a strong marriage as they have modeled their marriage from scripture.
But, fact is, most christians do not model any of their life from scripture, and many are divorcing.
It shouldn't be this way, but too many times it is.

Others don't seem to share your convictions.

If you think about it, if we live a committed christian life, then we are also living committed to what scripture says about marriage, and God's plan for marriage. If we're living God's plan for marriage then we can't help but have a stronger marriage. Never perfect because we're all still fallible men, but we can be obedient to the word of God.
