This is fantastic! (And I don't use that word lightly.)

If you haven't seen Susan Boyle singing on Britain's Got Talent, or even if you have and want to hear it again, follow this link, and be amazed.

The whole crowd were mocking this 47 year old, shapeless woman until she opened her mouth and began singing. What a change! She is Simon's angel, I am sure. He does have a taste for "good" music, and I expect he will get her recorded down the line.

    Cheers,

    Jim

It's about time people realized true talent is more than a pretty face and perfect body! Now, if we could just get Hollywood actors to understand this. . .

Don't judge a book by it's cover, eh?

What goes around, comes around. God gets the last laugh after all doesn't He! Good on her! I hope she gets her well-deserved break.

I watched the clip 3 times yesterday and was blown away each time. I let the kids watch it and they were quite impressed. It gave me a wonderful opportunity to show them how we judge based on appearance----and how there is always more than meets the eye.

    What a great story!

I saw this a few days ago on Facebook. I hope Susan gets her dream, she certainly deserves it!

I hope they don't get ahold of her before the next show and try to 'spiff' her up. She is who she is and doesn't seem bothered by what other people think of her appearance. Oh, if only we would all feel that way!

We can't improve much on what God has created. :godisgood:

She will probably need some help to achieve her dreams (it was reported that at birth she was oxygen deprived and has some difficulties), but I hope she gets to realize them! She has a GREAT voice!

I used her story in my sermon last night, about how quickly her story has gone around the world, and what are we doing to spread the story of Jesus. Then I followed with the question - I wonder if she knows Jesus? Do we think about this when we see people around us? She, just like every other person, needs to be saved, that is more important than anything else. If she is saved already, that is great. I would love to hear her sing How Great Thou Art, or just about anything else for that matter.

The 1st time I saw that YouTube video it just warmed my heart so much I kept replaying it and replaying it.

I dont know how anyone could not love how that played out. People were rolling their eyes and snickering. Moments later they were standing up and cheering.

    Bravo, Susan Boyle!

Susan's performance certainly makes for great TV drama. I loved it. Not sure I'd ever go to a Susan Boyle concert, or even buy a CD. (Reference point: I go to maybe two concerts a year, and haven't bought a CD in many years.)

I heard her already, and I was as shocked as the judges at the voice that came out of her. Anyone here remember Gomer Pile on TV, played by Jim Nabors? He talked and acted like an idiot, but the singing voice that came out of him was unbelievable! A beautiful baritone voice!
