    Sweden Records Lowest Level Of COVID-19 Cases Since March — With No Lockdown

    This quote stood out the most to me:

    “We don’t have the resurgence of the disease that many countries have,” Anders Tegnell, the country’s chief epidemiologist and architect of its no-lockdown strategy, told broadcaster France-24 in an interview. “In the end, we will see how much difference it will make to have a strategy that’s more sustainable, that you can keep in place for a long time, instead of the strategy that means that you lock down, open up and lock down over and over again.”​

    Going forward, the threat of lockdown needs to be taken off the table. You can't invest your life into a business if it can be destroyed in a single season by a government reacting to a virus. Not worth the risk. We have to learn new strategies.

    Sweden encouraged personal responsibility for self isolation, something Americans are loath to accept.
    Freedom is our motto and for freedom we will put at stake our lives and the lives of those around us.

    That being said, Sweden’s death rate was higher than many other countries that approached the virus outbreak by locking down.

    The prevailing opinion about how Sweden handled this was really way off from the truth. And they have done same with hydroxyqlouriquine. And this is being done as an attack against Trump. Trump was poorly advised by Fauci. And it cost Americans their livelihoods. Trump shut down travel early on . Not that it helped much, but he was severely criticized at the time by the political opposition. Democrats have been willing to sacrifice and wreck the country as an attempt to gain more socialist power over us.

    Most of these covid deaths show the aged population in the USA has lived longer and are therfore more susceptible to a novel disease than other countries because older folks here live longer but not with better health.

    I'll give Trump credit for handling it with the limited information he had. No one was prepared for this, nor could have been.

    And unlike a previous poster, I'll give the American people credit, especially the business owners. In hindsight, in a Sweden-like model, they would have done great. They've proved it.
