I am headed to the conference this week. I will be there Thursday afternoon and evening as well as Friday morning. I have no idea which topics will be discussed during these times. I will do my best to take good notes.

    Please pray for traveling mercies.

I wish I could be there however Don Jasmin and I don't see eye to eye on some stuff so I won't put him through the hardship of having me there while he reads his messages. Other that that it should be a good meeting.

I know you haven't been here long, so I will catch you up..

There is an older thread here where Pastor Bob has agreed to go to the conference and bring back a report...
The thread has to do with KJVOnlyism....
You should search for it... This thread is a spin off of that one.

Pastor Bob was chosen because he is a very fair individual, and will not distort any views. (plus he was going anyway!!! )

I am looking forward to Pastor Bob's assessment... I would like to see if the Sword has fallen into KJVOism so much that it is now defending Ruckmanism.

I am aware of that thread. I to look forward to Bob's (unbiased) assessment. I personally do not think Dr. Smith has taken nor ever will take the position that Ruckman takes on the KJV even though he is a promoter of the King James Bible. I feel the same way about Jasmin, even though I don't care for the guy it has nothing to do with the KJV.

Well, may I suggest you cast that "care", or the lack thereof, upon Jesus?

Why would you make the assessment that anyone who holds to the KJB to have "fallen"?

Praying for you, Pastor Bob. Although I am not in agreement with the KJVO, I look forward to hearing about it.

Can you share what it is that motivates your concerns, since you are in disagreement with what earmarks the Sword's reason for their meeting?

I didn't indicate any concerns about it. I just wanted to know what they are saying. I may not argue/debate with these kinds issues on the board, but I like to read even those with whom I might disagree on what I believe to be a very minor point, in this case, the KJVO.

    May I start laughing now?
Then you missed it. There are those here who "live" to attack and debate, debate and attack those who they've labelled "KJVO". In fact, you're probably one of "them"!

May I suggest that people ignore the jibes being inserted into this thread by Salamander?? It is clear that his posts are instigative toward contention and argumentation. Otherwise, like a lot of other topics, this thread will probably be closed down before the purpose of the topic is reached.

Bob, traveling mercies to you as you head out to the conference. I look forward to hearing your report. Thanks!

If you've got any problem with me, Sir, you may PM me, that is why BB has that option.

I've asked for your credentials to judge me and my motive, you fail to produce any.

I appreciate SWOTL for taking the stand on the KJB, obviously you use any means to attack some one who stands with them.

I anticipate his soon return to discuss his observations. I already know how he stands on the issue.

Back to the original topic that so quickly was forgotten...

I'll be praying for you brother! May God bless you in this trip with even a time of refreshing as is so hard to get nowadays! Traveling mercies and a clear mind are also in my prayers for you.

Topic: Pastor_Bob going to SWOTL Conference where the KJB only stand is the main topic to be discussed.

Request: Pastor_Bob asked for prayer concerning traveling mercies.

In response to his request, I will continue to pray.

    This is a debate forum:

Responding to comments made in a debate forum are subject to debate of those comments.:wavey:

I am interested why some one who says they are not concerned about the issue, yet they "want" to know any details of the conference which the main topic has been disclosed to be about the very thing they say they're not interested in.:praying:

I have not left the main topic anywhere out of the picture and false accusations have been made to that effect.

I already know the outcome of the conference: SWOTL will continue to stand on the KJB and the objectors and critics will continue to object and criticsize anyone who stands on the KJB.

You've got my prayers, Bob, no problem with that. Enjoy yourself, take it all in, and then come back and give us the whole story.

    Salamander,
Actually I try not to debate or argue. I have a few friends who are still involved with the KJVO. I am a graduate of Tennessee Temple when Dr. Roberson was there. I went to lots of SOL conferences when Dr. Rice was still alive. I sitll get the Sword and read it when I get it.

So I am interested in finding out what is said, not to argue about but to learn.

    Commence laughing again.
