Woe to those who don't value liberty.

Woe to those who esteem themselves better than everyone else.

Woe to those who are so ignorant of history they have no choice but to repeat it.

Woe to those who are ignorant of the consequences of keeping silent.

Woe to those who cannot recognize abuse of power when it is placed in front of them.

I thought Ken wasn't going to debate politics anymore? Back so soon? What was the over/under when he said he would quit debating politics - 1.5 months? (And don't use the excuse that this News Forum, when the debate is clearly political in nature.)

Just discussing the news. If this thread was in the politics forum I would have never seen it.

I guess some conservatives can't even handle an economic liberal such as me discussing the news without going after me personally.

Love ya anyway, brother Andy. :)

I'm not surprised you guys are commenting on it either. Who cares if he said he wasn't going to debate politics anymore. Have you ever changed your mind?

I love the fact that CNN, and NBC are activly ignoring us.. yes.. activly ignoring...
you read their stuff and they keep telling the world they are ignoring us!.. .LOVE IT.

Wanna make Americans mad.. keep ignoring us... NExt time.. it will be bigger and better...

JUST KEEP IGNORING US until NOV 2010...
    Then..

CNN can report.. "We don't know what happened... but..."
Just like they ignored evangelicals in 2004.. and were left scratching their stupid heads trying to figure out what went wrong...

YEAH.. you communist libbies keep ignoring us.. it fires us up.

That's the whole point.. We are being taxed without representation...

YEAH we have people who we have put into office..
But they don't represent us.. heck, my reps won't even listen to me!

Keep up saying we don't exist.. it will bite you in the rear in 2010!

Throw the bums out of office!

I wonder if conservatives will ever get back to offering something besides anger to the American electorate. That was Ronald Reagan's modus operandi - he presented a positive face and ideas with his conservatism.

Not as much as Ken has. I see you joined just a few months ago. It's a running joke around here on how much Ken has changed his mind, and how many promises he has made about not posting, etc., and then breaking those promises.

And no, I do not mind liberals debating here. But some hold more credibility than others.

It's okay, Matt. I am quite used to the treatment that conservatives give to those who disagree with them, particularly me. It's no problem. It deflects off of me like water off a duck's back. I just remember who won last two elections - 2006 and 2008. :)

Andy, if this is supposed to be political thread then why was it placed in the news forum instead of the politics forum? By definition that makes this a news thread and not a politics thread.

he has said this several times before, kind of makes him unbelieveable when it isn't true so many times.

Hey now...don't group all conservatives together, since I consider myself one, or we may have to exchange some words :).

Yes, as if truth is determined by majority opinion. Hitler was elected too.

What a lame way to encourage yourself.

So was Ronald Reagan. Do you want to disparage the majority that elected Ronald Reagan as well?

Ken, if you support Obama's policy, there would be no way on earth you would ever support Reagan now. They are diametrically opposed.

Of course, as many times as you've changed...from conservative, to libertarian, to liberal (I'm sure I've left out a few)...who can keep up?

This is the fourth time I've said the following...*sigh*

The tea parties were to protest the size, spending, and scope of the federal government. Last time I checked, being advocates for liberty and personal freedoms and responsibility was noble, legal, and worthwhile.

Remember when you were for those things, Ken?

You're breaking the spirit of your promise, even though you try to rely on a technicality. Most News Forum threads are political in nature.

I don't care, so I will drop it. Your lack of credibility is on display for all to see. Have at it.

I try to base my beliefs on Biblical truth and principles, not majority opinion. When Reagan agreed with those principles, he was right, when he didn't, he was wrong. Same with Obama. Just so happens Reagan was right much more often than Obama.
