Tennessee has become the fifth state in the nation – and the first in 2016 - to pass a resolution calling for an Article V Convention of the States to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution.

On February 4, the Tennessee House of Representatives voted 59-31 to approve Senate Joint Resolution 0067 calling for an Article V convention that would be “limited to proposing amendments to the United States Constitution that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress.”

The problem with a Art 5 convention is it's open ended. Anything and everything can be brought up and passed. Who's to say such a convention won't end up in the hands of the collectivists and not the folks we'd want to be in charge.

You know, you and C4k have constantly called for folks to sit back and take abuses of government, citing verses about the king and Caesar and all that. But you've done so thinking the feds were the king. But now that the true king in this nation is beginning to stir, you get nervous, because you think he might actually do something.

Did you read my post? I'm not worried about an At V convention in and of its self. I'm worried that it won't be the panacea many here seem to think it would be. I'm worried that it will be captured by our enemies and turned on us.

And where have I
called for folks to sit back and take abuses of government, citing verses about the king and Caesar and all that.
I well realize that in the end its citizens are foundation of the Republic.
