Terri Schiavo’s Brother Says the Press Is Still Lying About His Sister

It’s been nearly five years since his sister, Terri Schindler Schiavo, was starved and dehydrated to death, and Bobby Schindler says the mainstream press is still “telling lies” about her.

"It’s still being misreported by the mainstream media,” Schindler told CNSNews.com Thursday. “There’s things that are being said that were simply not true."

“They refer to Terri as being brain dead,” Schindler said of news accounts. “I see that all the time, and it simply is not true. They say that she was on artificial life support, without explaining to people what artificial life support means. There’s this perception out there that Terri was on a machine – that people like Terri need machines to keep them alive. And it simply is not true."

the pathologist indicated she could have "quite easily lived a normal life-span."
"Terri died because we took away her food and water – just like we would all die if our food and water was taken away. It took almost two weeks.
she was murdered.

Yes, she was murdered. If I were the governor I would sent in the National Guard to rescue her, arrest all those that followed the immoral orders like Nazi prison guards, and made a stand even if it meant civil war.

Both Bush's were complicit ragdolls in this situation.

I seem to remember the govenor bush attempting to stop it and courts ruleing against it. If he had sent in the national guard you'd have complained abut them forceably taking over the country with the military and dictators and so on.

donnA, I remember something about several legal analysts saying there was one more thing he could do - a special order or something - that he didn't. I just don't remember it all clearly now and maybe he did that too right at the end and it was overturned. There was a lot going on. Just don't remember and don't have time at the moment to look it up. I remember writing him and pleading with him to do something.

Although the Nat'l Guard doesn't sound like too bad of an idea in a situation like that.

This is so very sad that we did not succeed in stopping this murder.

Considering how helpless Terri was: Considering how helpless a child is and dependant on others for food and water.... the very basics of life: Considering how temporaily helpless a person may be through an illness or stroke:

This was a test put before the whole nation to see just how important life is to us and what would we do by action or reaction........ And, as a nation, we failed.

A little civil disobediance... spread all across the nation on Terri's behalf, might have done some good both then and now. But now, those who recommend euthanasia for the infirm and dying, and abortion for the 'defective' and as birth control, and as an answer to poverty or inconvenience of the mother, or as prefered over the treatments of joint replacement, heart bypasses, and organ transplants due to economic cost and material inconvenience..... can and do express themselves and are making such discussions not only a topic on college campuses and in medical schools across our nation .... but are also presenting their bold plan for the future in our legislatures and our courts.

"starved and dehydrated to death"

What was done to Terri Schiavo was barbaric. However what else do you expect in a nation that allows the murder of thousands of innocent babies every year. Tragic. :tear:
