We here at Conservative Tribune have long been proponents of the simple wisdom that one oughtn’t mess with Texas. Especially if you’re a criminal or an elected Democrat (but I repeat myself), it would easily solve so many of your problems.
Unfortunately, not everyone listens to us, and that includes the president of the United States.
When other states have gotten angry about President Barack Obama’s NSA spying, they’ve whined and protested about it. As for Texas, they’re about to shut the electricity off on the agency.
Texas House Bill 3916, introduced by Rep. Jonathan Strickland, would prohibit electricity or water from being provided to any federal agency in Texas “involved in the routine surveillance or collection and storage of bulk telephone or e-mail records or related metadata concerning any citizen of the United States and that claims the legal authority to collect and store the bulk telephone or e-mail records or metadata concerning any citizen of the United States without the citizen’s consent or a search warrant that describes the person, place, or thing to be searched or seized.”
Loosely translated, that’s the NSA.
