I am watching the A-Team at the moment (2200 hrs -EDT) on COZI TV.

The A-Team is constantly outsmarting the Military Police.
Does that make the MP's look bad - (week after week)

There is a lot of gun fire - but no one hardly is killed ( it any at all)
So does that mean the A-Team are lousy shots?

Salty, you are too young to remember but when the A-Team first aired there were a lot of complaints about the violence, to which the author or producer replied that the A-Team is not to be taken seriously.

They are obviously lousy shots. If my childhood memory serves me correctly, I think they averaged about 1 hit per 100,000 shots.

Lol, I was going to post the same thing.

Of course, that's probably a realistic portrayal of the Mini-14's accuracy.

Not really, the Mini of that era was fairly accurate. Just think for a minute. The members of the A-Team were supposed to be in the end the good guys. If they killed MPs at the rate they would have in real life, the A Team would have been considered a band of murderers. Which would have been poison for ratings.

The first Minis were known for pretty horrid accuracy. 500 dollar gun with a 10 dollar barrel.

The Mini-14 target meme is almost as old as the internet.

But the A team shot it out with criminals much more often than they shot it out with the MPs.

No, the storm troopers were snipers compared to A Team.

My favorite A Team episode was the one where the baked their guns into loaves of bread. Watching the heel go flying off when Hannibal opened fire...:Roflmao

Oh, that Hannibal. He sure did love it when a plan came together. ;)

Oh, you know you are young. My favorite character was Captain Howling Mad Murdock, although I liked them all. In one episode Murdock was declared legally sane :Cool

Guys, the A-Team could have shot like Carlos Hathcock if that's what the producers wanted, even with Mini-14s. It's called movie\television magic.
