The Bible is one of the most "attacked" book in history

Or, at least that is what many of the pastors I know have said. Is there any other book that actually tells people how to improve their lives, get to Heaven, and have DIRECT access to God through another other than Jesus Christ (forgiveness of sins as well)? I've looked at other "religions" over the years, and I've not found a one that I believe would do this...yet, I, sadly have found many people in many of our Baptist churches that teach and believe there are others? How did we get so far down this "garden path"? I know...but I would like some input from the forum. Blessings.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking here. Concerning the OP statement, I would say that the Bible is the most attacked book in history, not just "one of" them.

Then you have two question marks, though the first one is not really after a question. So what exactly is the "garden path" you are asking about?

Martin, I really like this and seeing that it is anonymous I will use it in the senior citizens class I lead.

Feel free! I would love to say I've written it but, alas, it's not the case.

I truly believe it is the MOST attacked book in the history of the world as well.
As far as what I was looking for was sort of attached to another thread about EXAMINING ourselves, in which our dear Bro, HankD also posted. The "Garden Path" is this...that we have been allowed to be sidetracked to look at other things or consider other religions through this politically correct" era in our history, and I probably shouldn't say "been allowed"...but just straight looked away for another way. I think I hit that stupid "?" a couple of times when I meant to hit periods, but, you get my jist, I hope. Again, I apologize for not being able to get back to these boards and post more often, but I truly have been busy with other issues.

In more-modern times, the RCC desperately tried to keep Bible translations from being made & distributed. Then, there's today's KJVO myth, as well as a slew of bogus Bible versions out there. But GOD still gets His word printed, read, and preached in over 2400 languages & dialects.
