Well the time has finally come. The British Open, played at the greatest course of them all, Saint Andrews, begins this week.

I am going to pick Tiger to win. Not just because he is good, but because the last time this thing was played at St. Andrews, he won. He seems to play the Old Course well.

    Should be a good one!

Tiger Woods shot a red hot 66 yeterday in the first round.

The scene at St. Andrews today when Nicklaus played his final round was timeless. Glad I got to see if over my lunch break.

Congratulations to the Golden Bear. There will never be another Jack for along time, maybe ever.

Jack Nicklus will be the golfer that all other pros and amatures aspire to be. Even Tiger wants to be Jack or be better than Jack. His career is the one to beat.

Thank you Jack Nicklaus for being the classy golfer you were, and the many great years of golf you provided us.

I would like to see Monty win. It would be a big breakthrough for him.

On his home turf non the less. He would be forever endeared to St. Andrews.

Well Tiger did it. 10 major wins under his belt, only 8 more to catch Jack Nicklus.

I thought it was classy of Tiger to mention Jack in his acceptance speech today. Seeing Jack on the footbridge at 18 on Friday will be one of my lasting sports memories.
