Good show, Rod. The children prolly like the floor better anyway.

By the way, lighting in a darker room can be enhanced by the use of wall mirrors as well. They reflect light back into the room.

Cheers,

Jim

Jim, what a great idea. I had not thought about wall mirrors. Our son's new condo does not have any lights in the living room. It has a patio door for the only outside light. He likes lots of light. I am going to suggest the mirror idea. Would it be good to put the mirror on the far wall opposite the patio door?

I don't think they mind eating on the floor. It takes Logan a long time to wake up in the morning, so maybe this will help him get going a little quicker.

Thanks for sharing the idea about using mirrors. I will let my wife know about it. There is a light on the ceiling fan in the living room, but my wife thinks it is too bright so she doesn't like using it. There is also a big window at the front of the living room, so once summer is here and it isn't so cloudy, it should be bright enough at least during the day.

The mirrors should always be where they will catch the most borrowed light. We have a long living room and a dark end. I placed four 5 inch by 6 foot mirrors off one corner, spaced out by about 4 inches. They are opposite the window on the end wall and reflect light to the dark end and off the ceiling. It is nt enough to read by, but enough to walk about safely. They are also quite decorative. I have seen some people paint things on the mirrors for added decor.

Cheers,

Helouise

Well, I am off to a meeting so I might not make it back to the board today. It will be at least 4:30 CST before it is over.

My kids don't know my age either. Not only that, I told them I didn't have a belly button and they've believed me all these years, rofl, until a few weeks ago when they hid and busted me coming out of the shower. They'd been asking to see the un-belly button forever to prove it and I didn't let them so they were getting pretty creative there for a while trying to figure out how to check it out. :D
All you have to do is get a copy of your birth certificate to find out her age btw. 7-10 dollars and you get all kinds of cool info. ROFL

Hi D'penguin...where did you go? Were you having computer problems?

I ran over the telephone line that hooks my computer up to the internet yesterday with the vacuum cleaner. But hubby to the rescue, he fixed it really fast. He needs the internet for work.

I got the biggest electric shock when this happened. it made me studder for a couple of hours.

Then my 10 year old son kept asking me questions about it, as if I was going to get some super human powers like they do in the cartoons afterwards.

Funny how kids think. That shock was a doozy. And it was so weird how it effected my ability to speak. I could hear the words I wanted to use in my head just fine, but getting them out of my mouth in tact? What a nuisance. It was like my tongue wasn't working right, or was getting stuck.

Well, on the bright side...it didn't kill me...and I can still access the inter-net.

I have to work in Lexington tomorrow morning, then drive back to Jackson to take a final tomorrow nite. Either tomorrow nite after the final or early Friday morning, I will be driving to Arkansas for two teacher interviews(in Clarendon and Holly Grove). I still have not heard back from West Memphis re. the interview I had last week.

As of right now I am staying over in Brownsville for at least the next week. It is 25 miles southwest of Jackson, but provides a welcome relief from the stress of work and school. So much still to do as far as finding a permanent place to live, etc.

Got a real surprise today. It is traditional over here that when I am conducting a funeral at the graveside it always pours with rain or heavy snow showers, whilst when I am at the crematorium it is gorgeous weather.

Today, at the graveside, no rain and no snow, wonderful weather. The tradition is broken! miracles happen.

Now tomorrow I am at the crematorium............I wonder.

yours, Jon.

Hey, thanks, Heloise,

I'm going to suggest the mirrors to our son, but I don't think he will let me paint flowers on them...maybe musical instruments. He is a percussionist and composer. Did we tell you that they played one of his compositions at the last concert at his University? He will be a junior at the University of Oklahoma, this fall.

And last night we went to a fifth grade celebration for grandson Jonathon. We have a Jonathon, too. His greatest accomplishment was he was a member of the Chess Club.

Last week we attended the band concert of the other fifth grade grandson...he plays the Trombone.

Saturday is oldest granddaughter's HS graduation.

We have been busy. We didn't have time to be sick.

I think I'll have a cup of coffee and wait for Ed. He is working late tonight.

Betty you have been busy. Glad you have time to sit a spell.

Our HS Seniors graduate Friday, and school is out Thursday for the rest.

Hi Jon!
